How does the repair process work?

Registration

Please first contact customer services at the following email address: klantenservice@ortlieb.nl

Be sure to include a clear picture of the damaged area and a picture of the entire product so that we can make an initial assessment. Our Customer Service Department will contact you to let you know if we are able to carry out a repair.

Shipping

If we can carry out your repair, please send your shipment to our address:

We recommend that you use an insured service when purchasing postage to obtain proof of delivery. This will protect you against loss or damage during transit.

We process your shipment

Once we have received your product, we will call you and give you a full quote for the repair, including all shipping costs.

Your delivery

The product will be repaired and sent back to you.

Conditions and Costs

Conditions

  • Sending a product to us is an order to carry out the repairs we deem necessary, unless otherwise stated in a declaration by the sender.
  • Please note that we are unfortunately unable to process your return without a sufficient description of the fault.
  • All products sent in for repair must be sent in a clean condition as optimum repair can only be carried out on clean products. We have to charge a cleaning fee of €5.00 if the product needs cleaning.
  • Repairs are covered by a 1 year guarantee.
  • If we do not receive a response from you within 2 weeks of sending the quotation, we reserve the right to return the product to you.
  • Repair requests for older products will only be accepted with reservations.
  • If your product should be damaged during repair, we will of course exchange it for a product in stock.
